Privacy policy

In this policy I explain what personal data I collect through alvarogarciasanchez.com, what I use it for and what rights you have. It complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 on the Protection of Personal Data and Guarantee of Digital Rights (LOPDGDD).

2. What data I collect
- Contact details: name, email and phone number, when you fill in a form, write to me by email or WhatsApp, or call me.
- Property details: address, features and situation of your flat, when you ask for a valuation or check whether your flat fits one of my spots.
- Search and financing details (if you are a buyer): budget, preferences and, only if you authorise it, whatever is needed to confirm that you are able to buy.
- Browsing data: IP address, device and pages visited, through cookies, depending on what you accept in the cookie notice.
You don’t have to give me all your data, but without the fields marked as required in each form I won’t be able to handle your request.
3. What I use your data for and on what legal basis

I do not make automated decisions with legal effects on you, nor do I create profiles for that purpose.
4. How long I keep it
- Enquiries without a contract: until your enquiry is resolved and, at most, 12 months after the last contact.
- Clients: for as long as the engagement lasts and, afterwards, for the legally required periods (6 years for commercial and accounting obligations and 10 years under anti-money laundering regulations).
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
5. Who your data is shared with
I do not sell or transfer your data. I only share it when needed for the service or required by law:
- Immobiliària Barcelona (the estate agency where I work as sales director) and its legal team, when we handle your transaction.
- Parties to the transaction: notary, land registry, administrative agency (gestoría), financial institutions and, where applicable, the other party to the sale, always to the extent necessary.
- Public administrations and authorities, when required by law.
- Providers that help me deliver the service (data processors), under a contract that guarantees the protection of your data:
- Hostinger: website hosting.
- Brevo: forms and email sending.
- Google (Workspace): email and document storage.
- Google Fonts: website typography (receives your IP address when the page loads).
- Inmovilla: client and property management.
- Metricool: visit statistics, only if you accept analytics cookies.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram): campaign measurement, only if you accept marketing cookies.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area (for example, in the United States). In that case, the transfer is covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or by the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
6. Your rights
You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability at any time, and withdraw your consent without affecting any processing carried out before.
To do so, email me at alvaro@immobiliaria.barcelona stating which right you wish to exercise. I may ask you to prove your identity. I will reply within one month at the latest.
If you believe I have not handled your data correctly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency, AEPD (www.aepd.es).
7. Minors
This website is not aimed at children under 14 and I do not knowingly collect their data.
8. Security
I apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, unauthorised access or misuse, such as an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and restricted access to information.
9. Images of clients
The photos and videos of signings and key handovers shown on the website are published only with the permission of the people who appear in them. If you appear in one and want me to remove it, write to me and I will.
10. Cookies
This website uses its own and third-party cookies. You can see which ones in the cookie policy and change your choice whenever you like from Cookie settings.
11. Links to other websites
The website may include links to third-party sites (for example, YouTube or social media). I am not responsible for their privacy policies, so I recommend you review them.
12. Changes to this policy
I may update this policy to reflect changes in the law or in my services. I will always show the date of the last update at the top of the page.
